After F9 has announced that they will start charging for carry on, I have no desire to ever fly them again. Their flights from DC are not that cheap, pretty much on the same level as normal airlines. But since they've added the charge for carry on I have no desire to fly with them and sink to that level.
The question is: I have about 20K Frontier miles, is there a way to transfer them to another airline, hotel program or even redeem for something besides subscription to the magazines?

Yes, you can redeem them for magazines. My wife did that with a mailer that was in her credit card statement. Works, too! You can do other stuff also.
