In fairness I think the XLE is a decent step above the SE, but it's still lacking features that I feel should be in this model range these days. Toyota's always kinda annoyed me because they're very resistant to putting in seat memory because they really want to push you into a Lexus instead. I know when I was test driving a Toyota (different model of vehicle), it seemed like every feature I'd ask about the answer was "no, you have to go with the lexus for that). But I do think that Toyota is one of the worst of the manufacturers in purposely limiting their cars to avoid competing with the upper brand.
