Two Free Checked Bags Terms and Conditions: Only residents of the State of Alaska, as determined by the address on file for your SkyMiles account, are eligible for the two free checked bags. SkyMiles members with residency in the State of Alaska are eligible for two (2) free checked bags for themselves and up to 8 additional travelers in the same reservation on flights marketed and operated by Delta Air Lines or a Delta Connection carrier. First flight in itinerary must originate in the state of Alaska to qualify. Valid only on flights to/from the U.S. 48 that meet the requirement of the first flight in itinerary originating in the state of Alaska. Valid for departures on or before December 31, 2014. The checked baggage benefit is available when checking in with Delta Air Lines or a Delta Connection carrier and connecting to another carrier for domestic travel. To qualify for the checked baggage benefit, the member's SkyMiles number must be in the reservation prior to checking bags. If a member has received the checked baggage benefit for any part of a reservation they may not change their frequent flyer number to another airline's program. The checked baggage benefit is not available when checking in with a codeshare or airline partner. For group reservations, only the SkyMiles member is eligible for the checked baggage benefit, and the benefit does not extend to all parties in the group reservation.

Eligible members must be an existing SkyMiles member and a resident of the State of Alaska, as determined by the address on file for your SkyMiles account. This offer is nontransferable. Medallion Status: If you meet the criteria to participate, you will receive Silver Medallion status for 60 days. The 60-day period will start upon registration in the promotion. In order to extend your Medallion status beyond the 60 days, you'll need to fly 4,000 MQMs or 4 MQSs to earn Silver Medallion status or 8,000 MQMs or 8 MQSs to earn Gold Medallion status during the 60-day period. Upon qualification, your Medallion status will automatically be extended through February 2015. Qualifying flight must be marketed and operated by Delta or Delta Connection. Codeshare flights operated by carriers other than Delta or Delta Connection do not qualify. Only tickets purchased with a published fare that earns full mileage accrual will qualify.

You must first register for the promotion by October 31, 2014, to qualify for the 30% discount for a full Y-fare ticket. Reservations and ticketing: Reservations and ticketing are only permitted within 4 days of the first day of travel. Discount will not be applied if the first date of travel is 4 days or further from the date of certificate redemption. Discount applies to the base fare portion of the published fare purchased. Reservations and ticketing must be electronic and completed at the time of booking by the expiration date specified above. Valid for one passenger per certificate. Economy Comfort: Economy Comfort™ seating is offered on Delta's two-cabin aircraft, subject to availability. Features differ slightly according to flight type/destination. Domestic flights offer up to 3 more inches of legroom and international flights offer up to 4 more inches than the standard coach seat. Seats purchased while onboard are not valid for Medallion® or partner airline discounts regardless of Medallion status or fare class. Complimentary beer, wine and spirits are offered in Economy Comfort on international flights operating between the U.S. to/from Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and flights operating between JFK to/from LAX, SEA and SFO; in addition, complimentary beer, wine and spirits are offered in the Economy cabin on all long-haul international flights. Increased recline is offered on most long-haul international flights and flights operating between JFK to/from LAX, SEA and SFO. Economy Comfort fees are charged per customer per segment. Except with respect to Basic Economy fares, SkyMiles Medallions and select partner airline elite members and up to eight companions traveling on the same reservation may be eligible for discounts on Economy Comfort seating fees based on their status at time of purchase. Beginning January 1, 2014, SkyMiles members can earn Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) for purchases of Economy Comfort seats only when purchased through a Delta channel, including delta.com, Fly Delta mobile app, Delta Reservations, Delta kiosks, and select Delta airport locations. If an Economy Comfort seat is purchased at the airport in Amsterdam (AMS), Mumbai (BOM) or Paris (CDG) for a Delta-operated flight, the member will not earn MQDs. MQDs will not be awarded for complimentary access to Economy Comfort. MQDs may only be earned by the member traveling whose name and SkyMiles number is included in the reservation. We reserve the right to assign or reassign an Economy Comfort seat at any time, even after boarding of the aircraft, for operational, safety or security reasons. The final decision resides with the ground staff and operating crew on the day of the flight. Refunds will be issued to any reassigned customer if the customer is not moved to a comparable or better seat and no MQDs will be awarded. If a customer voluntarily changes his/her flight or seat selection once purchased, a refund for the original seat purchase will not be provided and no MQDs will be awarded.
