I voted Other (I don't normally do it, quite unnecessary and my bag risks rolling off since it's a bit heavy); also "I don't think about it", since in reality I imagine I've done it once or twice without engaging brain, or maybe the lounge is very empty. I'm generally in the CCR late at night, sometimes the only punter.

I have no scruples about saying to someone "excuse me, would you mind?", and moving their gear before they react! Helps being big and ugly, I guess.

The particular issue in CCR is that some couples, or even individuals will nest out 8 seating positions around the fire places, which also have a goodly supply of power points. But usually there's plenty of space in CCR. Flounge gets a bit busy on Monday mid morning, and Thursday evening, but otherwise there is usually some empty niche somewhere, I've never seen more than a few people in the Champagne Bar area. GC South: that's interesting. People turn left at the reception, so that area gets jammed, when the right hand area is nearly empty. Been like that for years. GC North, always seems jammed so people don't hog seats there, you'd quickly be asked to move your bags. But there is generally space on the terrace or at the back by the business section.
