I know there was recently a discussion about the new seat pitch changes on the Airbuses. Before, I've been lucky enough to fly on airbuses with the old seats so I know to --without question-- book the second overwing emergency exit row

Sooooo now I book another flight and I'm presented with this



Questions

1. LOLwut, can anyone conjecture why AC automatically assigned me 16B? I'm curious because as a SE, the system should put me in a star seat (since we're entitled to it), and I swear my AC profile shows me as preferring a window seat (even eewnited.com gets this right ....)

2. More seriously, which is the better seat on such a configuration? Is my choice of 18C still "the right choice", or are the front-er seats better?
