The only occasion I have to complain about was two months ago, a CE service back to Milan, where the lovely child (around 8 years old) seated behind me decided to play with my hairs. I politely asked the mother to tell him to stop it and she incredibly said: "I won't say anything, he only wants to have some fun". Again, the parents are the problem in my opinion...
On one of my first ever flights I had a kid kick the back of my seat continuously from Beirut to London and similar outrageous complete refusal of the parent to do anything about it. This was despite the behaviour continuing and 2 or 3 polite requests addressed to the parent.

Therefore I am totally wary if I ever notice a child on a plane and would dearly love a special ejector seat for such parents... not the child.
