Yeah, this really pisses me off. I signed up for the SPG card a few days ago and because I already have a Platinum card I only get 10,000 SPG points as opposed to 30,000. I was planning to use the 30,000 bonus points to book a hotel in Boston for a 3 day weekend which is no longer possible. I could MS on the card enough to get the additional points but I don't think I should have to.

I'm thinking about calling them up and telling them to just cancel it and that I'll sign up for a hotel card from Chase that will give me the full bonus amount and see what they say.
