At times all I want is a glass and don't want to open a bottle, saw the above being used at a resto, was pretty impressed. Yes it is expensive, but after a couple of bottles being poured out, this thingy makes sense.

Anyone used it?
I'll look for a link as I recall reading a review that included a few different "wine preservers" and the conclusion was that none were very effective.

For what it's worth, I think boxed wine is a good option for someone who likes the occasional glass or two. The wine stays fairly fresh for up to 30 days. My local wine shop (K&L) has a few decent French options that are good everyday wines. Avoid the 12% alcohol California crap...
