At times all I want is a glass and don't want to open a bottle, saw the above being used at a resto, was pretty impressed. Yes it is expensive, but after a couple of bottles being poured out, this thingy makes sense.
Anyone used it?
They used it at Beaux Freres when I was there a couple weeks ago. The guy who worked there and my wine aficionado friend both said that it's a handy tool but once used the wine will still slowly oxidize. The bottle will remain good for a week or so. The cork won't really re-seal after using it.
They also both seemed to think it was a bit of a gimmick.
