The scenarios behind are very refined and even have much more influence on the daily life. Most of the population is not interested in politics and sedated by the large media companies and therefore this scenario will evolve.
In general I agree with you, but there are also forces pushing the otherside, especially here in Germany. Pirate party, CCC and all the people with some memory of the Stasi.
And this discussion is really not belonging into this forum but worst case scenario we will live in a horrible world, not even Orwell could have imagined. But you know, your cells also sacrificed their individuality and freedom to create some bigger unity.
