I got the same letter about renewing the Barclays US Air card. Just called them and told them I didn't want to pay the $89 and they removed the charge for this year.
Interesting, but does not apply to me because I cancelled the card six months ago. But I have the voucher because they sent the packet for renewing card holders before I cancelled.
If I use the voucher I will be beating the system but I would enjoy using the US Airways Club lounge after a 9 hour flight during my layover.
I was just concerned they would look me up in their computer and see that I had cancelled the credit card and was committing fraud by attempting to use the voucher for the free day at the US Airways Club.
