But it worked fine for us as the deluxe room we were moved to was odor-free on the fifth floor of the main building (above the lobby & lounge) with expansive views of the beautiful property, the pools, and the sea beyond.
This goes to show you how stingy the staff was keeping us away from any real upgrade due to our award booking/stay
How is it stingy? The T&C's are pretty clear that you aren't entitled to an upgrade on a redemption stay, which is why I only push redemptions at properties where I know exactly what I will get on redemptions (typically those IC's which fully honour RA benefits).
