Oh yes how stupid of them to choose the only airline that flies from London to BTS with their limited service of 3 flights a day (1 from LTN). But yeah I agree they should have planned better. Having said that, people often can't get time off work etc. so they may have done the best they could with the time they had!
Given the time of the flight I imagine their reception was actually the following morning. So it's not unreasonable to expect that even with a delay a flight the night before should work.
