Just how many people do they employ to sell perfume?
Their are 3-4 on every island, some more. chatting and flirting away amongst themselves - sometimes breaking off their chats to see if a customer wants more info or help.
There must be a couple of hundred of them in total - do they get paid by commission? or is the markup so great that the airport can afford to employ so many people standing doing so little?
Presumably the airport employs only a handful of these staff: The rest are probably employed by the individual perfume and cosmetics companies, and are tasked with 'pushing' their respective employer's brand(s).
(I particularly don't like it when they come up to you and attempt to spray you with their latest 'must have' smelly!)
