Ryanair is responsible for the length of the queue. So yes for one part Ryanair is responsible that the OP missed his flight.
On the other hand : If I were the OP and I would see that the queue didn't avance fast enough for me to catch my flight I would notify the person behind the desk of my situation.
Well, I'm not sure that is the general consensus. Certainly had the line been extraordinarily long maybe but a line 20 min long? Isn't that to be expected?

If he would prefer he can always take them to court and see what their responsibilities are.

In all of your discussion, you fail to mention where the contract of carriage says that Ryanair is entitled to enforce a rule when their interference prevents the passenger from following it.
Ryanair didn't interfere in any way. They told him where the line was and how long he had to drop the bag off. He could've gone direct to the gate if he'd preferred.

Their rules are very simple - drop it off on time or don't. Your call. Ryanair claims they made a last call and the poster is lacking in credibility.

In all of your discussion you have failed to mention where in the CoC of Ryanair it says anything about "arrive whenever you please and we'll take care of you". That is not the Ryanair way.
