Ryanair interfered with his dropping off his bags on time. Therefore, they aren't entitled to cancel his flight for dropping off his bags late.
In all of your discussion, you fail to mention where the contract of carriage says that Ryanair is entitled to enforce a rule when their interference prevents the passenger from following it.
