That's actually cheaper than AF P on an equivalent route, and that is before AF introduce their new P and quite possibly increase their fares as a result.

Re-EY's apartment and Residence, I would expect that the pricing will evolve the way SQ's R fares evolved when the airline first introduced the A380. At first it was much more expensive, and then fares started going down towards their old prices as the novelty vanished and competition improved. EY is typically very competitively priced and occasionally have excellent sales, I would expect that to include the "Apartment" in the future. The Residence is indeed a completely different product and might never reach that sort of price, but when an airline gives you 12 sq metres of space including living room, bedroom, and ensuite bathroom they are really targetting the private jet market rather than the 'regular' F market and I suspect that they will get there.

Final thought, with the new 'J studio', it is quite conceivable that a few days before AF announce their new revolutionary F, that will immediately appear to be inferior to that new 'friendly competitor' 's J which would be nothing less than a supreme humiliation, even if other European P will be equally overshadowed as a result.
