I don't dispute your weather stats reference. However, there is a difference between 'the hottest day of the year' and 'the hottest part of the year'. I was merely querying how you thought one particular day could be identified with such a degree of confidence as hotter than any other days. And I write this having worked for the past thirty years in Saudi, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Egypt.

Certainly historical weather records for Doha airport indicate that in a typical year the daily high temperature exceeds 100F between mid-May and mid-September, and exceeds 105F in the months of June and July. I don't believe that anyone is so sensitive to temperature that they would be willing to transit DOH in September but not in June.

Anyway, let's not lose too much sleep over it. And in any event, given the opening of the new airport, and the probability that your DOH inbound and outbound flights would no longer require bussing, isn't the outside temperature immaterial?
