Funny that you should post this, as I meant to post something about it, too recently . . . .
I was chatting with a FA about the B763 refurb, and mentioned that someone was taking FLASH PICTURES throughout the flight, and how rude I thought it was! I told her that I couldn't see who was doing it!
She told me that it's a known glitch of some sort, in the refurb! Amazing!
I had the same thing happen on a flight to FRA in March: There was a group of youngish folks on the window side of EC who were obviously excited about their trip. All night there was flashing and I kept thinking "What the hell are they doing with all the flash photography." I was about to get up and yell "Hey! You kids get off of my lawn!"
when I realized it was the overhead lights.
