Thanks all... I ended up going with EOS 6D and the following lenses:
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM (rented)
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM (nice friend is letting me borrow)
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II (owned)
Looking forward to some great shots
