Have not stayed at the Ren, but know where it is. I have stayed at Le Meridien, and think that the location on La Rambla is fantastic. So, my preference would be the Meridien. Had a reasonably nice upgrade there as a gold. No idea what kind of a room you might get at the Ren as a Plat, though. Perhaps others can give you an idea of that.
