I have a Europe Latitude flight Pass and am E35. If I book my wife and I on the same reservation, can I upgrade her as well as me at time of booking or can I only request her upgrade on the day of the flight. The new rules, seem ambiguous. I am not sure if the new March 28 rule on companions overrules the previous rule, or is in addition to it?

eUpgrade Travel Companions

You can use your eUpgrade Credits to request an upgrade:

for yourself and
for a Travel Companion who is travelling on the same reservation with you.
And effective March 28, 2014, you’ll be able to request an upgrade at the airport on the day of departure for one companion travelling on the same flight as you (and not necessarily on the same reservation).
