Decade-long master threads
While I enjoy the resources that FlyerTalk offers, I must take issue with some of the thread and moderation procedures here.
Many "Master Threads" are 4, 5, even 10 years old. This forces readers to wade through far too much information to try and find what they are looking for. In some cases, old and outdated information can be recirculated to the top of a board because of this policy. It also causes new threads to be either merged into this massive pool of posts, likely lost or difficult to find, or closed, leaving the person who asked a question to have to search for information in the so called "master thread."
I think that while the elimination of these master threads might cause an increase in redundant posts from time to time, continuing this policy of closing or merging makes it much worse for the novice reader.
