Indeed and I would have no qualms whatsoever in flying on a BA 747. That said, though, last I looked at it (which was a couple of years back), the average age of the BA fleet was markedly older than those of its main European competitors. I do not think that this has substantially changed since then although I stand to be corrected if this is not so.
