Some years ago I decided that I really dislike BA.

I have no problem with AA's J service, food, or slanted J seats. The personal entertainment system shortcomings just don't matter that much.

Finally, ORD-LHR is really a short trip. If the OP takes the later AA departure, he should do well with it and even sleep for a few hours.
