Last night my connection in ORD (on my already rebooked itinerary--first flight had been canceled) was looking tight. I was pretty sure I would make. When I did, I looked more closely at my record online and realized someone had protected me on the first flight out this morning. I had not requested this action. Thanks, I guess, but I was on the phone before the door closed to get the protection canceled. I'm not sure how to tell if it might kill my reservation and I didn't want to take the chance.
