My husband just called to cancel his (first of 2) US air card and reverse the annual fee. They reversed the fee and said OK goodbye.

I then called to cancel my card and the woman insisted that keep the card. She downgraded it to a no annual fee card and offered a 5k bonus if I spend $1000. She could see that I had 2 US air cards on file.

I really wanted to just cancel the card and then order a third card, but then decided to accept the offer. Not sure if I should cancel this card in a couple/few months and then apply for the third card or just go ahead and apply for the third card.
