You can call and kill the ZFV leg or re-route to PHL, per reports above. It's idiotic, if true, that they aren't doing this proactively.
I chose to reroute to PHL (got me in earlier). And they absolutely are not doing this proactively - I was scheduled ZFV-EWR-SMF on May 6th.
