India-USA is QR's biggest market. This is not some arbitrary combination of two random flights where you need to worry about whether it is a good idea. These hub-and-spoke connections are QR's bread and butter.

Of course, if there is a major delay, you will miss the connecting flight. A relative of mine recently spent a night in Doha as QR's guest. However, normally everyone from the India flights (which all arrive at roughly the same time) are efficiently moved to the USA flights (which all leave at roughly the same time).
