Just to emphasize my final point.... there are now 2 F award seats open for OneWorld partners on CX 879 for Sunday Apr 27th.... AwardNexus via BA and QF. When I checked last night there was no availability for OneWorld (but there was for Asia miles), now at two days before flight they released them to partners.
Also, 1 F award is open on May 3rd (CX 879) and May 4th (CX 873) for OneWorld partners. There is a good chance this will expand to 2 seats a couple of days before flights.
Nothing yet for May 5th/6th but hang in there and keep checking.

If you are still working on May 5th/6th now is the time to start actively looking. E.g. one first seat is open on CX879 on the 5th for OneWorld partners (BA via AwardNexus) and one business seat open on CX879 on the 6th for OneWorld partners. For AsiaMiles there are 2x F seats on the 5th and 7th. 2x Business class on the 6th.
Flights are very full SFO-HKG on the 5th/6th, especially on the 5th (I'm very surprised they are even offering the one F seat) your best bet looks like CX879 on the 6th in business class, maybe first if you are lucky. You may find that they open 1x F seat and 1x C seat on CX879 on the 6th.... consider grabbing them and maybe closer to flight time a 2nd F seat will become available and you change the C booking to an F booking.
Over the next few days more availability may open up for OneWorld partners... you should check regularly, like 2x daily.
