In that case, JFK-LAX QF108, LAX-MEL on QF94 will get you the A380 flight, plus speaking from experience, they will hold QF94 for you in LAX if QF108 from JFK arrives late, likewise I've heard they will hold QF107 in LAX if QF93 arrives late (never experienced it, so can't say for sure).
