I agree with the last post.
I feel it is quite appropriate for me, as a SE, even with options of google search, to ask the question 6 years ago, and now.
I also got additional information, about traffic on the QEW during the long weekend. I did not realize (but yes, I could have googled) the holiday VIA information.
But sometimes it is easier to ask the questions on FT which can be answered (if I put some effort into it) by me - otherwise, one can say that perhaps 1/2 of the OPs should not be posted, but researched by them.
Going to the specifics of my question - when I first opened the thread 6 years ago, I was hoping that there would be airports in St. Catherine's or Niagara Falls and that AC would fly there. I was hoping that maybe things had changed so I could fly AC to an airport in or near Niagara Falls (and no, I do not really consider YYZ all that near to Niagara Falls).
At that time, I actually thought that Sarnia was closer to Niagara Falls, than YYZ - I was almost ready to book a ticket, until I started the thread 6 years ago.
I am now thinking of going by car on Sunday and coming back on Tuesday (after our 10:30 AM meeting in Burlington). Should I presume that the Sunday and Tuesday traffic will be somewhat lighter than the Fri evening/Sat or Mon traffic? I have been told by the secretary of the person I am meeting in Burlington that if I leave downtown Niagara Falls (I plan to stay at the Embassy Suites there) around 9:30 AM, I should reach the office (near Burloak) about 1 hour later.
PS-If I had opened a new thread, I would have been criticized for forgetting about the thread I started 6 years ago. So I decided to add to that thread, rather than start a new one.
PPS-If this were the good old days, I would fly from YOW to Hamilton, as the preferred option for flying to the nearest airport to Niagara Falls. I guess AC does not fly there anymore. Does any domestic or US based airline fly there (no, I will not do a google search) - I do remember several years ago, that I flew on a US Air flight from San Diego to Hamilton via Pittsburgh (when the latter was a major US Air hub city).
