Also, if award space on your desired PHL-YUL nonstop should become available at least 24 hours before the departure time of your PHL-LGA flight, you should be able to cancel your PHL-LGA and LGA-YUL redemptions and get those Avios back, merely forfeiting the $5.00 you paid for those redemptions. (Although BAEC's published cancellation fee is higher, BAEC takes cancellation fees out of the fees paid for the initial redemptions, and does not make any additional collection if those fees happen to be lower than the cancellation fees.)
