Hi all,

I'm trying to plan some trips for this summer using my aeroplan miles.

Option 1

YYZ to YYC
Take a train from Calgary to Vancouver (this is called open jaw?)
YVR to HKG (Beginning of August)
HKG to YYZ (maybe a stop in between, but I think it's impossible once you have an open jaw, according to the mini RTW FAQ)

Option 2

YYZ to VCO (I will already be in Venice, but might just book a dummy ticket because I'm not sure if aeroplan allows me to start in Venice)
VCO to HKG (leaving July 12)
HKG to YYZ (leaving end of July)


The problem with both is that I can't find any flights on the Aeroplan website that travel between Canada and Hong Kong in the months of July or August.

Does anyone know of cost effective transits to get back to YYZ from HKG? Preferable non-AC as the surcharge is pretty hefty. I looked at Asian and US transits, but can't find any available tickets.

I have about 100,000 points, so economy is the only option.
