My wife has had her US account for years and was even a Silver when flying for work in the mid 2000s (HP then). Last year she flew about 16K EQMs all on UA credited to US.

This week we get a Silver elite card for her in the mail and login to her account and see she is indeed silver. Is US/AA giving members that were basically solely UA flyers US status? I wish I had seen this earlier becuase I didn't book some UA award travel on US becuase I didn't want the bag fees after US exited * and joing OW. With my wife on the reservation with me I would think the bag fees would have been waived.
