What's the cancellation policy on Advanced Purchase non-refundable rates when a property leaves the Marriott system.

Have a stay booked using that rate at the Courtyard Marriott in Rome in August. Property is leaving the Marriott family on May 1, 2014.
Was told that in the "Terms of Use" it states that non-cancellable policy still applies when property leave Marriott. Is that the case? Can't seem to find anything in the terms of use.
