I'm planning a trip to Atlanta, GA this summer (somewhere between June and early August). I was considering the Residence Inn Historic Midtown Atlanta (1041 West Peachtree Street) as a place to lodge. I was plugging in dates on the Marriott website for the various hotels expecting to see this hotel among the options. I plugged in at least 5-6 different check-in/check-out options usually with a Thursday check-in date and Monday check-out date.

Each time there was no reservation showing the various dates which seems unusual. I even went to the booking.com website (http://www.booking.com/hotel/us/resi...-historic.html) to book the hotel directly but it said, "Unfortunately it's not possible to make reservations for this hotel at this time."

Has this place closed down permanently or is it being remodeled?

Please advise if anyone knows the status of this hotel.
