All the methods have a thread. I started out by perusing all the method threads on the first two pages. There are about 20-30 of them. Some I ruled out quickly. Others looked interesting and I read the wiki, the first three pages of the thread and the last three pages. If I was still interested, I wrote down questions and did "flyertalk *keywords*" google searches to find my answers. If a thread looked promising, I read deeper into the thread. I spent about 1-2 hours per day reading for the first few weeks or so. I got very good at scanning through threads looking for practical/informative posts. I learned a lot - not just the "X's and O's" of MSing, but also best practices when things aren't going my way.
Thanks for the tips. I personally feel, I have kinda mastered basic steps by reading a lot here. I have spend few weekends, full on this webpage. I basically live in a small town, we only have 1 CVS, 1 WG and 1 WM. So, VR was really the best and hassle free for me till now.
I really did a honest searching of all Gas stations in my place. One Cue, Shell etc. are only available here and they charge around $5 per GC and Max is $100. This is not worth for me. So I felt bad that , after all these I just spend $150/$1500 on my Freedom Bonus Category Last Quarter.
Then Amex GC Method was like god-like to me. First, it was bit of exciting and scary. They only approved my First three orders, Then All 10-12 Orders were denied. Got Bored of this. I am trying to learn new methods. But I am not able to get any SINGLE method that suits for me now. Need to Wait for new one to be invented, Perhaps?
