In defense of cooltyler and the LoungeBuddy app - I've been using it frequently in this year of int'l travel and find it very useful. With the mergers, codeshares, and varying rules depending on which airline's lounge, it's nice to be able to look at an app and know whether I can get access to a particular lounge before I go make a fool of myself. The length of threads with FTers arguing about lounge access rules is proof enough of the usefulness of an app like this, I think.

Since we launched in September of last year, we've grown our App to include over 400 airports and 1400 lounges, in addition to factoring in over 10,000 lounge access rules. This stuff can get pretty darn complicated and we've worked hard to make our UI as simple as possible to use.
The App is 100% free and is available for iOS and ...well...you'll have to wait til later this week to hear the rest.
