I would personally choose the Edition over Grosvenor House any day. The Edition is a trendy, contemporary hotel (although they have kept some traditional features from the old building) whilst Grosvenor House is just old and past it. The Edition is just north of Oxford Street, close to Soho and Covent Gareden, whilst the Grosvenor House is in Park Lane, close to Hyde Park and Mayfair. The lobby at the Edition can get very busy though - the bar is very popular and at night it can be absolutely heaving, which might be annoying for a resident.
