With respect.. there would be no breach of privacy by simply posting the passengers initials. "Largely the reason" this system is not in place is because AC IT can't get their act together... or AC doesn't want to spend the money on this improvement.

Sadly they don't realize that pestering the gate agent is probably costing AC more $$ than implementing this software.
