It seems more to be complying with the law that requires fares to be quoted inclusive of taxes and charges.

Given that the receipt provides the GST componant which is what is needed for those reclaiming GST, I don't see it as a big issue.

Qantas also doesn't show breakdown of taxes on their sites either so Jetstar's approach is not inconsistent with that
