I tend not to "check-in", other than as a random status update ("At Schiphol, heading home") but I do post travel photos. For example, if I am in NYC around Christmastime, I usually take photos and post to my page. The folks who are friends of mine from back in my dusty little 'burg like it--some tell me the read them for the captions I put on them.

Easter weekend I was in Europe and posted some pix of Cannes, St. Tropez and Monte Carlo and the only person who posted "negatively" about it was being tongue-in-cheek, as he will be there later this summer.
