I signed up with Hertz Gold rewards using the CDP provided by American Express Platinum Canada. On the Hertz website, it shows that CDP as "Amex Platinum EMEA" which I believe stands for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

I had a terrible time getting Hertz to grant the Five Star tier as one of the benefits of the Canadian Amex Platinum card. Nobody at Hertz had any idea of what I was talking about. I had to tell them to look at www.hertz.com/amexplatinum/lac where it clearly describes the benefit.

I'm wondering if the CDP that Amex Canada provided is correct since it is showing as EMEA and if that is the cause of not getting the Five Star status.
