+1. That's the answer: not watering down other levels. SPG and Hyatt provide a degree of increased access to suites for their higher tiers, either fully confirmed or quasi-confirmed. Hilton could, in theory, break down their Diamond level the way Starwood has if they want to reward the true high-night or high-base-point Diamonds.
