All open now, just the climbing nets are roped off but there are 4 large paddling pools open with an array of water features, sculptures and animal statues.

Worth noting that these pools are not heated, so unless it is a very sunny/hot day I would not recommend using them. The paddling area did get more popular as the day progressed and I noticed that staff were checking the water quality regularly which was reassuring. Life guard presence is good, nice to have a back up there when supervising your kids. My own daughter loves the water and is used to the British seaside so the water temperature didn't phase her one little bit, she was there for a couple of hours before the shivers took hold. She's made of sterner stuff than I am, boy that water was cold!

Tulips are on the wane now, still a fantastic show but not quite as sublime as last week when they were at their peak. Standout flowers this time were the peonies at the entrance to the Japanese garden.

Now I've had a second visit, this time with all the LapLaps, I can state that this park is our favourite destination in Tokyo as a family. Hoping to squeeze in a third visit before we return.
