I was a total numpty and left my travel wallet and Kindle in the side-bin on A380 CW UD - there were so many compartments I'd forgotten to clear out one of them! Thankfully the slowness of US immigration came to my rescue as I realised whilst queueing that I was missing those items - cue frantic search of bag to no avail. Then headed back towards the escalators to find BA staff member at the bottom of them with a carrier bag full of things that had been picked up on board. Very grateful to get everything back and triple-check now - would have definitely been more of a hassle if I'd already passed through immigration!
