Seems good that at least they threw in a bonus spend offer for 5k miles for 1k spend in 90 days.
I simply agreed to have my 1st US Airways CC to be converted to the no-annual fee version, since I'm waiting for my 2500 bonus miles from spending $50 each time for 5 times. That hasn't posted yet since it apparently takes another 6 weeks after the 3 month promotion ended. And because the conversion took place within 60 days after the annual fee was posted, the CSR told me I will be getting back the $89 fee refunded.
Might press later once I get my 2500 bonus miles, to see if I can get the 5k miles for 1k spend in 90 days offer. If not, I'll cancel the card then. The converted card has the same CC account number, but lower miles-earning reward structure, and no more "benefits" that I won't need since I have a 2nd US Airways CC with the full "benefits".
