I flew with other airlines (major and minor) and their business class cabin is way better than emirates. To think that emirates is one of the famous and luxurious airline around people will expect something better than this. their fare is one of the expensive too and then this is all you will get. and btw, this flight is from Dubai - Larnaca - Malta. it just doesn't make sense to me. probably because people prefer other airline which provide better service for cheap price.
