See I would say that T5 is the fastest baggage service in the world. From international flights (and when there has been no queue at immigration, which again I think T5 is great about) I have often been aircraft to landside in 15 minutes. I once timed one at 9 minutes, 34 seconds.
8/10 the bags are already turning in the luggage reclaim hall and I just need to pick it up.
For an EDI flight I have been aircraft to landside in 10 minutes with luggage. 15-30 minutes should cover it.
Speaking about that I truly have never seen these horrendous waits at T5 that I hear about every so often and I think that there is no faster airport terminal in the world. But perhaps I have been really lucky every time. Fact of the matter is LH or SH with baggage I have never had to wait more than 30 minutes to be landside at T5 from an arriving flight.
